RIP Casey Kasem

Often the first paying job for a young radio DJ was Sunday mornings, running the controls for American Top 40 With Casey Kasem. When I worked at 95.5 WOVV in West Palm Beach in the late 80s, that was one of the many entry-level jobs I did while I waited for my "big break." He was a legendary personality, heard around the world every weekend - something most of the rest of us could only dream of. The last few years are not how we would like to remember Casey. I prefer to remember him as the inspiration for many radio careers... keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars! RIP Casey Kasem.
