The other day, Luke Bryan called me to tell me I'd won a CMA Award for Broadcast Personality Of The Year. At the start of the call, he said, "What's up, Buddy Rug??" And I've spent the last few days trying to figure out what a "buddy rug" is.
Except that he didn't say "buddy rug." He said "what's up, Buddy Roe?"
It turns out that "Buddy Roe" means pal, friend, or buddy. Mystery solved.
Although I think "Buddy Rug" is funnier, and I think I'll keep using it.
